Can I change the frequency of e-mails GymFu sends me?

Currently, you can choose whether to have GymFu to e-mail you when someone challenges you to a battle. To change your setting, go to Home > Settings > Edit Profile and chose your Battle e-mail preference from the drop down menu. Update your settings by pressing “Update account”. Your acount will be updated when you next sync the app.

Press the “Settings” button. Select “Edit Profile”. Scroll down to “Battle emails” and select your choice from the drop down menu. Press “Update account” and then sync your app.

There are many reasons to have your e-mail address linked to your account. The most important reason is if you later have any problems it will be very difficult for us to resolve them for you without being able to easily confirm that the account is yours via e-mail. If you still want to remove your e-mail address from your account and cannot do so within the app just e-mail us.

If you’re not intending on using the app any more, it would be great if you could let us know why, so that we can improve it for other users. All feedback, positive and negative, is gratefully received.

Can I reset my training data?

The easiest way to do this is to create a new account by reinstalling the app, this will automatically wipe the slate clean.

Press “Settings”. Select “Edit Profile”. Change your username.
Exit and then delete the app. After reinstalling, create a new account (you can use your old username) and all of your data will be reset.

This will reset everything stored within the app about you, including your points, rep count and previous exercises, allowing you to start again.

How can I link my GymFu with my Twitter account?

Currently, you can only link your GymFu account with an existing Twitter account. If you don’t have a Twitter account, you will first need to set one up by visiting www.twitter.com.

If you haven’t set up a GymFu account, go to Home > Settings > Edit Profile > Create new account. You’ll have the option to sign in using Twitter. Just enter your twitter username and password, press “Allow” and GymFu will use your Twitter details to fill in the “Create your profile” page for you. Your GymFu account will now be linked to your Twitter account. The app will only send tweets on your behalf when you tell it to by pressing either “Tell your friends” or the twitter logo in the app header in Battle Mode.

Press the “Sign in using Twitter” button. Fill in your usual Twitter details and press “Allow”. The app will fill in some of the fields using your Twitter details. You’re free to edit this. Press “Update account” and then sync your app.

If you already have a GymFu account, you can link your Twitter account to it by either pressing the “Add Twitter” link in the Home page then pressing “Sign in using using Twitter”, or by going to Home > Settings > Edit Profile and pressing “Sign in using Twitter”. This will redirect you to a Twitter sign-in page, just fill-in your Twitter details and press “Allow”. Your GymFu account will now be linked to your Twitter account. The app will only send tweets on your behalf when you tell it to by pressing either “Tell your friends” or the twitter logo in the app header in Battle Mode.

Press the “Tell your friends” button whenever you want to celebrate your Fu. The app will display the tweet so you can confirm it before sending it to your Twitter profile. Press the Twitter Plus button to tweet your readiness for battle! The app will display the tweet so you can confirm it before sending it to your Twitter profile.
