You might expect that repeating the same exercises day-after-day would be the key to making the best progress. In fact the key to progress, whether you are body-building or focussing on fitness only, is actually rest. This is because in order for you to build muscle, you must leave your body time to recover.
We recommend you rest at least 48 hours between hard training or battle sessions. The simple way of doing this is training on Monday, Wednesday and Friday – using the other days and the weekend to rest. You should also make sure you get plenty of good sleep and drink plenty of water.
